Job summary

Amazon Inc. in Pasadena, CA is hiring an Electrical Assembly & Testing Engineer to build, test, and calibrate delicate electronics for cryogenic quantum computing systems.

The role requires precision soldering, microelectronics integration, and experience with DC/RF measurements. You will work with cryogenic RF/microwave systems, quantum processor electronics, and specialized test equipment, following IPC standards with strict ESD protocols.

Qualifications

• 2 years of hardware design and validation of components, subsystems and systems experience
• Knowledge of material and manufacturing methods

Responsibilities

• Assemble, integrate, and package electro-mechanical components including PCB assemblies, cable assemblies, and quantum processors using specialized tools
• Perform precision soldering, rework, and assembly of fine-pitch SMT components and RF connectors
• Conduct electrical tests using multimeters, Vector Network Analyzers (VNAs), and automated test equipment to verify assembly performance
• Follow detailed work instructions, update build logs, generate and update assembly procedures, inspect outside vendor assembly work, and maintain strict electrostatic discharge (ESD) safety protocols
