Job summary

Retail Marketing Services, Inc (RMS, Inc) is seeking a CRV Ambassador to educate, inspire, and mobilize the community about recycling efforts and the donation-based CRV CONNX program. The role involves field outreach at events, workshops, and stores, plus digital engagement to promote participation and awareness.

You will help users set up and use the donation-based App, gather feedback, and support marketing efforts with reports and cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ years old.
• Multilingual preferred.
• Available minimum 3 shifts per week; must have 2 days between Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
• Must be able to use a smartphone or tablet to record work after each shift.
• Reliable transportation to shifts.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and execute recycling events, collection drives, and awareness campaigns in collaboration with customers, community partners, and stakeholders.
• Be part of the marketing committee, and participate in social media platforms to promote recycling initiatives, events, and success stories related to CRV CONNX.
• Actively engage with community members to answer questions, address concerns, and promote the benefits of participating in the CRV donation-based program.
• Distribute promotional materials at community events, local businesses, and public spaces to increase visibility and participation.

CRVCONNX is a workforce development project funded by CalRecycle. The CRV CONNX program is scheduled to continue through Spring 2026.

CRV CONNX

is looking to hire a CRV Ambassador to undergo comprehensive training and work across all aspects of our CRV Project Operations.

As a CRV Ambassador, your primary responsibility is to educate, inspire, and mobilize the community about recycling efforts, specifically focusing on our CRV donation-based program. You will engage with the public through events, social media, and various outreach initiatives to promote participation in recycling and highlight the benefits of our donation program.

Out in the field

Your responsibilities include engaging the community with our new CRV project and its positive impact to the industry by answering questions, addressing concerns, and promoting the benefits of participating in our CRV donation-based program. This outreach includes community fairs, workshops, grocery stores, and customer events. Most importantly, you will foster relationships with local businesses, residents, grocers, and organizations to expand program awareness and support.

The ambassador must be tech‑savvy. This position will educate the community on using the donation‑based App by assisting with its set‑up and functions.

At the Hub

Be an active marketing committee member and participate in social media platforms to promote recycling initiatives, events, and success stories related to CRV CONNX. Prepare regular reports and evaluations to assess the effectiveness of outreach efforts and inform future strategies. Support team with other duties to ensure compliance with CRV regulations and protocols for handling, sorting, tracking, and aggregating recyclable materials.

• Have reliable transportation to shifts (designated events).

Physical Demands

• Employees may occasionally experience prolonged periods of sitting at a desk, standing at the Hub’s sorting tables, or standing at events.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time.
• May work evening or weekend hours to accommodate activities such as servicing RVM machines or participating in events.
• Ability to work effectively in varying weather conditions (rain, heat, cold, etc.)
