Job summary

Columbia Shipmanagement seeks an experienced Head Bartender/Bar Manager to join the crew aboard a cruise vessel. You will provide luxury F&B service to guests and manage bar operations, inventory, and safety standards on board.

Experience in 4-star cruise or hospitality settings is essential, with strong HACCP and public health knowledge. The role requires prior cruise ship rank experience and the ability to work in a dynamic, worldwide itinerary environment.

Qualifications

• Proven Head Bartender/Bar Manager experience in a 4-star cruise or hospitality environment.
• Strong knowledge of public health regulations, HACCP, and food & beverage operations.
• Minimum experience of 12 months in rank on a cruise ship; experience on large cruise ships with worldwide itineraries.

CSM Rijeka is looking for self-motivated and skilled seafarers to join our expanding fleet of Columbia Shipmanagement.

JOB DESCRIPTION & QUALIFICATIONS

• Provide luxury food and beverage service to guests.
• Maintain venue readiness, cleanliness, and safety standards.
• Manage bar setup, breakdown, equipment, and supplies.
• Support inventory, beverage menu development, and special events.
• Ensure compliance with sanitation, health, safety, and labor regulations.
• Valid STCW and flag-state certifications required for the position.
• Proven Head Bartender/Bar Manager experience in a 4-star cruise or hospitality environment.
• Strong knowledge of public health regulations, HACCP, and food & beverage operations.

VESSEL'S SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum experience requirements: 12 months of previous experience in rank on Cruise Ship
• Substantial experience on large cruise ships with worldwide itinerary.
• Experience in trading area USA and Australia is recommended.
