Job summary

Colorado Permanente Medical Group (CPMG) in Colorado is seeking physicians to join our team of crossover providers delivering primary care across multiple sites. You will examine patients, review records, order tests, administer treatments, and coordinate care with specialists as needed.

The role emphasizes team collaboration, flexible scheduling including holidays and weekends, and involvement in high-flow clinics to meet patient visit standards.

Responsibilities

• Provides comprehensive medical services for members seen at assigned primary care department(s), regardless of age or sex, on continuing basis
• Uses computer to access patient records and other clinical information
• Records patient's medical history clearly and properly using computerized medical record, including coding
• Orders or executes tests, analyses, and diagnostic images to inform about patient's condition
• Analyzes test results and diagnoses
• Administers or prescribes treatments and medications
• Promotes health by advising patients on diet, hygiene, and preventive methods
• Vaccinates patients to immunize against diseases
• Performs office and surgical procedures within licensed scope
• Refers patients to specialists when needed
• Works in high flow clinic with flexible schedule and walk-ins
• Participates in holiday, after-hours and weekend rotations across locations
• Collaborates in patient care with physicians, nursing staff, and other team members
• Crossover physicians cover for primary care providers when unavailable
• Crossover physicians see patients at alternative linked sites and on days off
• Crossover physicians cover for physicians on leave or vacancies
• Crossover physicians rotate through non-continuity weekend coverage
• Crossover physicians oversee nursing and APP clinics and consult needs
