Job summary

Hilliard Horizon Elementary in the Hilliard district is recruiting a Crossing Guard to help students travel safely to and from school. The role emphasizes monitoring traffic and ensuring safe street crossing during arrival and dismissal.

Schedule is 176 days per year with a minimum of 2 hours per day; salary is commensurate with experience. Applicants become employees of the Educational Service Center of Central Ohio unless already employed by Hilliard City Schools in another capacity.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience with crossing guard duties or school traffic safety preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist students in safely crossing streets to and from school.
• Monitor traffic to ensure student safety during arrival and dismissal.

Crossing Guards are responsible for assisting students in getting to and from school in a safe manner. Candidate is responsible for monitoring traffic to ensure the safety of students as they cross the street. Hours are set under the discretion of the building principal to coincide with student arrival and dismissal times.

Salary commensurate with experience.
