Family owned and operated meat manufacturer located in Fort Atkinson, WI is seeking a versatile Laboratory Analyst to cross-train in all lab positions, conduct tests per methods and SOPs, and aid in lab efficiency and upkeep.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in a related field with relevant experience.
• Good problem-solving, time management, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and to work in a group setting.
• Good verbal and written skills to effectively communicate.
• High degree of professionalism and confidentiality.
• Strong computer skills with proficiency in MS office (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Cross train in all positions in the Laboratory to provide coverage, as needed.
• Provide assistance or training to other Lab Analysts and Lab Aides, as needed.
• Perform laboratory duties following approved methods SOPs in an accurate, timely, and economical manner.
• Maintain laboratory equipment and facility per schedule and SOPs in a timely manner with action taken as appropriate.
• Perform laboratory QC program requirements in a timely and accurate manner with corrective action taken for non-compliant samples, results, or trends.
• Assist with maintaining an effective training verification program.
• Provide on-call coverage on weekends and holidays.
• Flexible hours with occasional weekend and holiday work.
• Accepts special projects and completes them accurately and in a timely manner.
