Job summary

SONIC Drive-In is seeking a Restaurant Cook to oversee the Appetite Satisfaction Department across Food Production, Grill, Fryer, and related tasks. You will prepare and portion items, ensure quality, and assist in maintaining a clean, safe kitchen environment.

The role requires flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays, with emphasis on teamwork and dependable attendance. You will join a fast-paced, customer-focused drive-in operation that values friendly service and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Willingness to work irregular hours, nights, weekends and holidays.
• Effective communication; basic math and reading skills.
• Ability to follow directions and maintain hygiene standards.
• Willingness to adhere to uniform and appearance guidelines.
• General knowledge of restaurant/retail operations preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook food orders to meet quality standards.
• Operate grill, fryer and related stations; portion and dress items to order.
• Package menu items and check product quality and consistency.
• Maintain cleanliness: dispose of trash, mop, sweep, wash dishes, sanitize areas.
• Assist in maintaining a safe, clean, and organized work area; cross-train on stations.
