Altom Transport is seeking an experienced Software Engineer to maintain and modernize a .NET‑based suite while building cross‑platform mobile and distributed systems. You'll bridge legacy modernization with next‑gen engineering across .NET, Flutter, Go, Docker, Linux, and private‑cloud services.

The role involves integrating several internal apps to create a cohesive ecosystem across operations, logistics, compliance, and internal systems, and transforming a legacy Windows app into a modern

Qualifications

• 3+ years with .NET Framework / .NET Core development.
• Experience building cross‑platform mobile apps with Flutter (Dart).
• Proficiency with Go or another compiled backend language.
• Practical Linux deployment, CLI workflows, and diagnostics.
• Strong Docker/containerization knowledge and private cloud deployments.
• Experience with SQL Server; Postgres/MySQL is a plus.
• API design experience (REST, GraphQL) and distributed systems.
• Experience with AI‑assisted development tools.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, refactor, and modernize .NET Framework / .NET Core apps.
• Architect and develop APIs, microservices, and back‑end systems.
• Build back‑end services using Go, .NET Core, Node.js, or Python.
• Develop cross‑platform mobile and embedded apps with Flutter.
• Create modern web interfaces with JavaScript/TypeScript and UX focus.
• Integrate internal apps to unify workflows and reduce silos.
• Plan migrations to the organization’s private cloud and manage Docker workloads.
• Design CI/CD deployments with Docker, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI.
• Manage relational databases and performance tuning.
• Leverage AI tools (Cursor, Copilot) to enhance quality and speed.
