Qualifications

• ARRT certification is required.
• State registration is required.
• Advanced certification and at least 2–3 years in CT or MRI.
• BLS certification is required.
• Competency in cross‑sectional anatomy is essential.
• Ability to handle critical care situations.

Responsibilities

• Proficiently perform MRI and CT examinations.
• Maintain MRI safety and radiation safety per ALARA.
• Evaluate orders and coordinate with radiologist.
• Follow department protocols and improve protocols as needed.
• Onsite within 30 minutes when on call.
• Recognize and respond to emergent patient conditions.
• Assist in transportation of patients to the Imaging Department.
• Prepare and administer contrast materials; venipuncture skills.
• Coordinate with nursing and anesthesia as needed.
• Ensure patient safety and use immobilization devices appropriately.
