Classroom Technologies (formerly DSI Tech) supports UNT's Classrooms as well as distance education across the UNT Enterprise (Fort Worth, Dallas and System) with an expertise in AV, IT and Soft Codecs.
This position provides high level technical support for Faculty, Staff, Students, and Guests of UNT. Duties include maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing A/V systems, digital signage systems, student/lab computers; responding to user requests for technology assistance, training, and support; providing technology support for campus events; assisting with other departmental services such as checking out equipment, installing software, responding to tickets, etc.
Bachelor's degree in related field and three years of related computing work experience; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
Prior experience with specific systems, equipment and software may be specified as needed by department. Knowledge of principles of computing and communications networks, and characteristics of computing hardware and software used in distributed environment. Ability to operate computer keyboards and to install computer hardware. Ability to assimilate, retain and utilize technical and applications-oriented information.
Detailed knowledge of A/V fundamentals, hardware, and systems. A/V industry or manufacturer certifications such as AVIXA CTS, Extron Control Professional, QSC QSys Level 1, Biamp, Crestron, etc. Working knowledge of computer hardware, software, and operating systems.
Communicating with others to exchange information.
