Job summary

HRforGrowth is recruiting for a Cross Dock Forklift Operator to safely load, unload and move freight in a cross-dock setting. The role requires operating forklifts, ensuring accurate product placement, and facilitating transfers between trucks and storage areas.

Qualified candidates will have a forklift certification, warehouse experience, and the ability to read English instructions. This on-site position emphasizes safety, efficiency, and teamwork in daily operations.

Qualifications

• Valid forklift operator certification/license.
• Experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or cross-dock environment.
• High School Diploma or GED, or 3 years of relevant warehouse experience.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate forklifts to load and unload products from trucks, containers, and pallets.
• Transfer goods to and from cross-dock areas, storage zones, and transportation vehicles.
• Conduct routine inspections of forklifts and report maintenance or safety issues.
• Verify shipments against delivery documents for accuracy of quantities and descriptions.
• Secure and stabilize loads to prevent damage during transfer.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote safety and efficiency.
• Follow safety policies, OSHA regulations, and company protocols during operations.
• Assist with inventory check-ins and record keeping as required.
• Collaborate with team members to meet daily targets and handle freight efficiently.
• Update the Warehouse Management system with transactions.
• Perform daily safety checklist and standard battery charging procedures.
• Assist team members in meeting and exceeding customer expectations.
• Update supervisor on issues or concerns.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
