Position Overview

Cross‑dock Associates are responsible for loading, unloading, sorting, staging and transporting products within a cross‑dock environment.

Responsibilities

• Follow company safety policies and procedures and encourage other Associates to do the same.
• Safely operate forklift and/or other machinery for loading, unloading, sorting, staging and transporting products.
• Work cooperatively and productively with supervisors and other Associates to complete tasks.
• Arrange cartons on pallets taking into account size, weight, height and cubical weight.
• Load trucks while considering cubic weight, size and characteristics (e.g., crushable).
• Work independently with little supervision to receive, pick, and handle products.
• Provide outstanding service to customers by maintaining attention to detail and completing assigned work in a timely manner.
• Maintain the condition of the distribution center and/or warehouse work area (e.g., free of trash, items in correct location).
• Perform additional duties as assigned by Distribution Center or Warehouse Management.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
• Must be eighteen years of age or older.
• Experience may include previous warehouse or logistics work (preferred).
• After completion of training and certification, may drive gasoline, liquefied gas or electric‑powered industrial truck equipped with lifting devices such as forklift and clamp attachments.
