As a Meat Cutter, you'll help provide a well-stocked and well-maintained department while providing superior customer service. You'll prepare, package, and merchandise fresh product daily, maintaining all department and food safety/sanitation standards.

Job Responsibilities
Production / Food Service
  • Cut, trim, bone meat for display or customer orders, following standards.
  • Operate equipment like electric grinders, saws, tenderizers, slicers.
  • Weigh, wrap, label product packages; rotate stock as needed.
  • Store products properly in meat coolers.
  • Use MCS technology for production tracking.
  • Assist customers with product questions.
  • Scan items for production using Telxon.
  • Assist in technical areas as needed.
Food Safety / Sanitation
  • Clean and sanitize display cases and equipment.
  • Follow food safety and sanitation standards.
  • Adhere to SOPs, store procedures, and regulations.
Customer Service
  • Provide excellent customer service.
  • Assist customers with product questions and selections.
Candidate Background
  • Minimum age 18.
  • At least 1 year of related experience or training.
  • Completion of power jack training.
Skills and Abilities
  • Knowledge of product rotation, sanitation, shrink awareness, MS Office.
  • Meat-cutting skills (saw, grinder).
  • Customer service and communication skills.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, perform detailed tasks.
  • Work with customers, attend to their needs.
  • Lift and carry 40-60 lbs.
  • Stand, walk, bend, reach, push, pull, grasp frequently.
  • Expose to mechanical parts, cold, chemicals, and humid conditions.
