GENDA Americas, Inc. is seeking a motivated Law Student Intern to support our US-Canadian legal operations.

You will assist with contract drafting, regulatory research, filings, and cross-border compliance under supervision of the legal team. Ideal candidates are enrolled in a JD or LLB program, with strong writing, research, and organizational skills, and an interest in international business and corporate law.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a JD or LLB program.
• Strong interest or coursework in international business, corporate law, or comparative US-Canadian law is highly preferred.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Meticulous attention to detail with ability to manage multiple research projects simultaneously.
• Proficiency with legal research databases (Westlaw/LexisNexis) and standard corporate productivity tools (MS Office).

Responsibilities

• Assist in contract drafting and review including commercial lease, location, vendor contracts, NDAs, and asset purchase agreements.
• Research US state/federal and Canadian provincial/federal laws regarding licensing, prize regulations, consumer protection, and data privacy.
• Assist with state and provincial corporate filings, annual reports, and maintaining corporate minute books.
• Monitor changes in labor laws, insurance requirements, and liability issues affecting field service teams in both countries.
• Conduct legal research on emerging regulatory issues, including digital payment systems and cross-border equipment transit.
