Job summary

Syngenta AG in Lubbock, TX invites a Crop Protection Field Development Intern to gain hands-on experience within the Emerging Talent Program. You will participate in trial implementation, data capture, and day-to-day field activities while applying academic knowledge to real-world challenges.

Estimated duration May 2027 – August 2027. The internship develops skills across product development, sales, marketing, and agronomy, culminating in a final presentation to stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Enrollment in an Associate’s, Bachelor’s, or advanced degree program in Agriculture, Biological Science, or related field.
• Fluent in English.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable moving violations record.

Responsibilities

• Gain knowledge of Syngenta and crop protection product development.
• Support Crop Protection Field Development activities, such as trial implementation, maintenance, and data capture in field, greenhouse, and/or laboratory settings.
• Identify 2-3 personal development opportunities while in the internship program.
• Learn processes and skills utilized to develop products and technologies.
• Develop an understanding of Crop Protection Field Development’s role in sales, marketing, and agronomy.
• Manage a project under the guidance of Crop Protection Field Development Scientist(s).
• Develop and deliver a summary presentation of the internship experience to stakeholders.
• Participate in monthly performance discussions with managers to enable continuous growth and improvement.

Syngenta's Product Biology Team is seeking a Crop Protection Field Development Intern in Lubbock, TX.

As part of Syngenta's Emerging Talent Program, you will gain hands-on experience, exposure to day-to-day business operations, and opportunities to apply your academic knowledge to real-world challenges while developing your professional skills.

Additional Information

Salary for this position ranges between $20 - $45 hourly.
