Job summary

Compeer Financial invites interns to join the Crop Insurance team for a hands-on summer experience in Minnesota. You will learn about MPCI, crop hail and related policies while supporting client communications.

The paid internship runs through summer 2027, with work primarily from our Mankato, MN or Lakeville, MN offices. Housing/transportation are intern responsibilities; university credit may be pursued if applicable.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in agriculture, business or related field.
• Efficient, accurate, detail oriented.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and common software.
• Excellent oral and written communication abilities.
• Ability to deliver high quality products and services.

Responsibilities

• Develop working knowledge of crop insurance products.
• Produce, assemble and mail marketing material to clients.
• Protect client confidentiality and integrity of Compeer client data.

Education

Pursuing an associate or bachelor's degree in agriculture, business or a related field.

This is a paid internship; however, the intern must provide their own housing and transportation. Business related transportation and expenses will be paid by the organization. This intern will work full-time through the summer of 2027. The internship is located out of our Mankato, MN or Lakeville, MN office location. If pursuing internship credit through your university, it is your responsibility to consult with your advisor and review the internship's job description to ensure it meets the minimum eligibility requirements.

The contributions you will make: This internship will work with the Crop Insurance team to process and service multi-peril crop insurance (MPCI), crop hail and other insurance policies. A typical day:

• Develop working knowledge of crop insurance products.
• Produce, assemble and mail marketing material to clients.
• Protect client confidentiality and integrity of Compeer client data.

The skills and experience we prefer you have:

• Pursuing an associate or bachelor's degree in agriculture, business or a related field.
• Knowledge of agriculture and agricultural operations is preferred.
• Efficient, accurate, detail oriented.
• Proficient with multiple forms of technology and software, including Microsoft applications.
• Ability to deliver high quality products and services.
• Oral and written communication skills, sufficient to exchange information effectively with peers and team leader.

How we will take care of you:

Actual hourly rate offered is dependent upon year in school, work experience, transferable skills, business needs and market demands. The hourly rate range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.

Base Pay

$19 - $27 USD
