Job summary

Allegheny Health Network is seeking a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist to provide anesthetic care in the surgical setting. The role requires current PA RN licensure or eNLC multistate licensure, CRNA certification, and compliance with HIPAA and safety standards.

Experience preferred. The CRNA will assess and manage anesthesia plans, document accurately, monitor patients, and collaborate with the multidisciplinary team while contributing to quality improvement initiatives and staff

Qualifications

• Current PA RN licensure or multistate licensure via eNLC.
• Certified as a Registered Nurse Anesthetist.
• Previous CRNA experience preferred.
• CPR – American Heart Association, ACLS, and PALS required or active.
• HIPAA and safety/compliance training per policy and regs.
• Background clearances as required by state/federal law.

Company : Allegheny Health Network Job Description : GENERAL OVERVIEW: This job provides anesthetic care for patients in the surgical setting.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assesses, plans, evaluates, and implements the anesthetic management for all patients presenting for anesthesia care.
• Provides accurate medical record documentation. (45%)
• Provides continuous observation of patients under anesthetic care and corrects abnormal patient responses. Involves attending physician regarding plan of care and involves physician in clinical decision making of any issues that are outside the CRNA's knowledge base or scope of practice. (35%)
• Participates, develops, and implements performance and/or quality improvement initiatives. (10%)
• Adheres to the legal and ethical standards of nursing and of the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists. Follows appropriate safety standards and ensures compliance with all regulatory agencies. (5%)
• Acts as a clinical resource to interdisciplinary health care team. May serve as a mentor to new staff or students. (5%)
• Performs other duties as assigned or required.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum Current State of PA RN licensure OR Current multi-state licensure through the enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC).
• Certification as a Registered Nurse Anesthetist by the National Board of Certification and Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists.
• Preferred Previous CRNA experience.
• Additional Employment Requirements: CPR – American Heart Association Act 34 Criminal Background Clearance Certificate Act 33 Child Abuse Clearance Certificate Act 73 FBI Fingerprinting Criminal Background Clearance Certificate Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) - American Heart Association.
