Job summary

MUSC Health - Columbia Medical Center is seeking PRN Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists to join our growing Midlands Division. You will work with a dedicated Anesthesia Care Team of CRNAs and board-certified anesthesiologists across MUSC Health’s campuses in Columbia and Camden, SC.

We value experience in vascular, pediatric, neuro, regional and orthopedic anesthesia, plus outpatient surgical anesthesia.

Qualifications

• Experience administering major vascular, pediatric, neuro, regional and orthopedic anesthesia.
• Graduate of a program approved by the COA for Nurse Anesthesia education.
• Minimum education: master’s degree in Nurse Anesthesia (or higher) as of 3/1/2019.
• Insurable by MUSC’s malpractice insurer for required limits.

Responsibilities

• Provide PRN CRNA services in Columbia Medical Center and across MUSC Health campuses.
• Collaborate with Anesthesia Care Team including CRNAs and anesthesiologists.
• Support a broad mix of cases across campuses in Columbia and Camden, SC.

Minimum Training, Education, And Experience

• Experience administering major vascular, minimal pediatric, neuro, regional, and orthopedic anesthesia, as well as anesthesia for outpatient surgery.
• Graduate of a program approved by the Council on Accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia Educational Programs.
• The minimum education requirement for those hired after March 1, 2019, is a master’s degree, or higher, with the concentration in Nurse Anesthesia.
• Insurable by the medical malpractice insurer of MUSC for the required limits.

Required Licensure, Certifications, Registrations

• Must be recognized as an APRN or be eligible, with current license to practice, or eligibility to obtain practice in the state of South Carolina.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) require either a certification from an American Health Association (AHA) for Healthcare Providers or an American Red Cross CPR/AED for Professional Rescuers and Healthcare Provider.
