Job summary

Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital in Albany, Georgia, is expanding its Anesthesia Care Team. We are seeking a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) to join a comprehensive program with general, urology, orthopedics, vascular, thoracic, neuro, plastics, ENT, and endoscopy cases. The department includes 19 ORs (1 hybrid), 2 dedicated O.B.

ORs, and 4 endoscopy rooms. We offer collaboration with physicians and a focus on quality, safety, and career growth in a Level II Trauma Center

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing with active licensure.
• Advanced degree in Anesthesia required (e.g., MSN/DNAP or DNP preferred).

Responsibilities

• Administer intravenous, inhalation, and other anesthetic agents during surgical, obstetrical, and medical procedures.
• Conduct pre-anesthesia assessments and evaluations.
• Develop and implement anesthesia care plans with the healthcare team.
• Prepare, test, and maintain anesthesia equipment and supplies.
• Monitor patients' status before, during, and after anesthesia administration.
• Recognize and respond to changes in patient condition.
• Provide anesthesia services across all areas of the department as needed.
• Collaborate with anesthesiologists, surgeons, physicians, nurses and staff to ensure quality care.
• Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation.
• Adhere to hospital policies, standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Support departmental quality, safety, and patient satisfaction initiatives.
• Provide direct patient care to neonatal, pediatric, adult, and geriatric populations.

We are expanding our Anesthesia Care Team - Join our team as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA). Phoebe is a Level II Trauma Center headquartered in Albany, Georgia halfway between Atlanta and Florida's Gulf Coast beaches.

Essential Responsibilities

• Administer intravenous, inhalation, and other anesthetic agents during surgical, obstetrical, and medical procedures.

• Conduct thorough pre-anesthesia assessments and evaluations.

• Develop and implement anesthesia care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.

• Prepare, test, and maintain anesthesia equipment and supplies for assigned procedures.

• Monitor patients' physiological status before, during, and after anesthesia administration.

• Recognize and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition.

• Provide anesthesia services in all areas of the Anesthesia Department as needed.

• Collaborate with anesthesiologists, surgeons, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure quality patient care.

• Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation.

• Adhere to hospital policies, professional standards, and regulatory requirements.

• Support departmental quality, safety, and patient satisfaction initiatives.

Education Requirements

• 4 year / Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (Required)

• Higher Degree in Anesthesia (Required)

Experience Requirements

• 1+ year Anesthesia Experience (Preferred)

• New graduates accepted

Certifications and Licensures

• Required Certifications/Licensures: Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNA)
