Job summary

Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist is seeking a CRNA at Premier Surgery Center in High Point, NC. You will join an established anesthesia team, provide perioperative care, and contribute to patient safety and quality initiatives.

Qualifications

• Current North Carolina RN license.
• Graduate of an accredited School of Nurse Anesthesia.
• National Board certification as a CRNA.
• Current North Carolina CRNA licensure.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications.

Responsibilities

• Precept Student Nurse Anesthetists where applicable.
• Determine appropriate patient care plans for peri-operative and anesthesia care.
• Collaborate with medical team for effective team-based care.
• Uphold patient safety and drive quality improvement initiatives.
• Document and maintain patient records per hospital standards.
• Maintain scheduling flexibility and punctuality for timely care.
• Demonstrate professionalism through teamwork and ongoing development.
• Contribute to cost containment by conserving resources.

While working in the Outpatient Anesthesia Department, Premier Surgery Center, you will expand your skillset by working on cases including (but not limited to) Orthopedic and ENT.

What You’ll Do

• Potential for and encouraged to precept Student Nurse Anesthetists – opportunity to mentor and assess these medical students.
• Uses medical decision-making skills to determine appropriate patient care plan to ensure peri-operative and anesthesia care, being sensitive to co-morbidities and age & developmental guidelines.
• Collaborates with medical team when needed for effective team-based care;
• Uphold patient safety, drive quality improvement, and promote infection prevention within job responsibilities and initiatives.
• Document and maintain patient records in compliance with hospital standards, ensuring confidentiality.
• Maintain scheduling flexibility, readiness, and punctuality to deliver timely patient care.
• Exhibit professionalism through teamwork, collaboration, and a commitment to ongoing professional development
• Contribute to cost containment efforts by conserving resources.
• The clinician functions under the regulatory mandate from their respective licensing organization (North Carolina Medical Board or North Carolina Board of Nursing) with departmental specific credentialing from the institution.
