Job summary

Washington Gastroenterology is seeking a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) for our endoscopy ambulatory surgery center in a Per Diem role.

The CRNA will assess patients pre- and post-procedure, prepare for anesthesia, administer and monitor sedation, and ensure safe recovery while coordinating with nursing staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing required.
• Master's in Nurse Anesthetist or work equivalent required.
• Current NBCRNA certification required.
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications.
• Current Washington State APRN and RN licensure.
• Minimum 1 year experience in unsupervised clinical setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs patient assessment for planned anesthesia treatment and reviews records.
• Communicates anesthesia plan to patient and addresses questions.
• Prepares patient IV and sets up monitoring devices during procedures.
• Monitors patient status and adjusts medications as needed.
• Assists recovery and monitors for adverse effects of anesthesia.

We are WAGI

WAGI is seeking a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) to join our endoscopy ambulatory surgery center in a Per Diem role. The (CRNA) is responsible for patient care before, during, and after a procedure by performing a patient assessment, preparing the patient for anesthesia, administering and maintaining the anesthesia to ensure proper sedation and pain management, overseeing patient recovery from anesthesia and caring for the patient\'s immediate post-operative needs.

Responsibilities

• Performs patient assessment for planned anesthesia treatment, reviews patient medical records and conditions
• Communicates with patient regarding anesthetic plan and answers any patient questions or concerns
• May prepare patient IV and set up monitoring devices to check blood pressure, pulse and oxygen saturation of the patient during the procedure
• Monitors patient\'s status throughout the procedure and adjusts the medications accordingly
• Assists nursing staff during patient recovery, assessing for adverse effects to anesthesia care
• Responds to patient emergency using standard procedures for maintaining patient airway, emergency drug and fluid management, and any life support measures needed
• Responsible for other aspects such as patient record management and restocking carts and supplies
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Bachelor\'s Degree (four-year college or technical school) Required, Field of Study: Nursing
• Master\'s Degree or Work Equivalent, Field of Study: Nurse Anesthetist
• Current NBCRNA Certification
• Current ACLS and BLS Certifications
• Current Washington State APRN and RN Licensure
• Minimum 1 year experience in an unsupervised clinical setting preferred.
• Anesthesia experience in a fast-paced outpatient setting prefer

Physical Activities And Requirements

• Prolonged periods of standing and walking

• Ability to reach including reaching overhead and below waist
• Ability to lift 10 pounds frequently, occasional lifting 25 pounds
• Ability to push/pull up to 50 lbs
• Local travel in the region may be required to other locations as needed

Washington Gastroenterology has an excellent compensation and benefit package that includes the following:

• All employees will be eligible to accrue PTO at a rate of .04 hours per payroll hour (1.6 hours for a 40 hour week) which can be used for and exceeds the required mandatory WA State and other local ordinances.

This is an Hourly position and the anticipated Compensation is $180 per hour with a 10-hour shift minimum when scheduled.
