Required BSN and MSN in Nurse Anesthesia, state RN license in Michigan, NBCRNA certification, and BLS/ACLS/NRP credentials; prefer prior anesthesia experience with ~150 procedures over two years.

Qualifications

• BSN from an accredited program required.
• MSN in Nurse Anesthesia from an accredited program required; two years of relevant experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepares anesthesia area for safe administration.
• Performs preoperative assessment and contributes to the anesthesia care plan.
• Induction, maintenance, and emergence of general anesthesia in OR and off-site locations.
• Manages local, regional, and conscious sedation techniques.
• Performs peri-anesthetic invasive and noninvasive monitoring; places lines.
• Participates in postoperative follow-up and QA documentation.
• Responds to CPR airway emergencies and lifesaving measures.
• Functions as clinical preceptor to students and supports ongoing education.
• Supports quality and safety initiatives and departmental education.
