Job summary

Freeman Health System is seeking a CRNA to join a dynamic anesthesiology group within a medically supervised practice that promotes CRNA autonomy at a Level II trauma center, with an opportunity for in-house locums.

Day shift roles include a wide variety of anesthetics and procedures, spinal and regional techniques, arterial and central lines, across general, ortho, ENT, GU, OB/GYN and more; a competitive $80,000 sign-on bonus/education stipend accompanies the role.

Qualifications

• CRNA certification and active Missouri CRNA license.
• Current Missouri RN license or compact-state RN license.
• BLS, ACLS and PALS certifications within required timelines.
• Ability to interpret guidelines and provide safe patient care.

Responsibilities

• Practices current principles of anesthesiology with supervision.
• Staffs the anesthesia department and collaborates with the anesthesiologist.
• Administers diverse anesthetic techniques including spinal and regional.
• Manages arterial and central lines while ensuring patient safety.
• Maintains flexible day shift scheduling and efficient operations.

Essential Functions

• Practices current principles and practices of anesthesiology.
• Maintains effective work relationship with anesthesiologist (supervisor).
• Communicates and cooperates to adequately staff the anesthesia department.
• Provides sound practices and safe therapeutic care.
• Promotes safe working conditions for patient and self.
• Demonstrates initiative for self development.
• Accepts responsibility of tasks not delineated in job description.

Skills Abilities

Required Special Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Ability to interpret, adapt and apply guidelines and procedures.
• Ability to maintain quality control standards.
• Skill in taking medical history to assess medical conditions and interpret findings.

Requirements

• Certificate as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthesia.
• Current Missouri Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) license
• Current Missouri Registered Nurse license or current Registered Nurse license from a compact state. If a compact license is held, it must be in the nurse’s state of residence.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) within 120 days
• Advance Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) within 180 days
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) within 120 days.

Day Shift

• Opportunity to practice a wide variety of anesthetics and procedures including spinal, regional techniques, arterial lines, and central lines;
• Cases include general, ortho, ENT, GU, OB/GYN, podiatry, robotics, GI and healthy PEDs;
• Appealing day shift schedule - can be very flexible with how you would like to arrange a schedule
