Job summary

Freeman Health System seeks a CRNA to join its anesthesiology group at a Level II trauma center. The role offers a day shift with a range of anesthetic techniques, including spinal and regional methods, plus arterial and central line access.

The position supports CRNA autonomy within a medically supervised practice, with opportunities for in-house locums and a competitive package including a sign-on bonus/education stipend. Missouri licensure applies.

Qualifications

• Certificate as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthesia (CRNA).
• Current Missouri CRNA license required.
• Current Missouri RN license or compact-state RN license required.
• BLS within 120 days of hire.
• ACLS within 180 days of hire.
• PALS within 120 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide anesthesia services as part of a dynamic group in a Level II trauma center.
• Staff the anesthesia department in a collaborative, supervised-to-autonomy environment.
• Utilize spinal, regional techniques, arterial and central venous access as appropriate.

Essential Functions

• Practices current principles and practices of anesthesiology.
• Maintains effective work relationship with anesthesiologist (supervisor).
• Communicates and cooperates to adequately staff the anesthesia department.
• Provides sound practices and safe therapeutic care.
• Promotes safe working conditions for patient and self.
• Demonstrates initiative for self development.
• Accepts responsibility of tasks not delineated in job description.

Required Special Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Skills Abilities

• Ability to interpret, adapt and apply guidelines and procedures.
• Ability to maintain quality control standards.
• Skill in taking medical history to assess medical conditions and interpret findings.

Requirements

• Certificate as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthesia.
• Current Missouri Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) license
• Current Missouri Registered Nurse license or current Registered Nurse license from a compact state. If a compact license is held, it must be in the nurse’s state of residence.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) within 120 days
• Advance Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) within 180 days
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) within 120 days.

Day Shift

• Opportunity to practice a wide variety of anesthetics and procedures including spinal, regional techniques, arterial lines, and central lines;
• Cases include general, ortho, ENT, GU, OB/GYN, podiatry, robotics, GI and healthy PEDs;
• Appealing day shift schedule - can be very flexible with how you would like to arrange a schedule

Competitive Salary

$80,000 Sign-on bonus/education stipend
