UPMC Washington seeks a casual CRNA to join our team in Washington, PA. This role involves providing anesthesia care in a fast-paced community setting under MD supervision, with competitive hourly pay and flexible staffing.

Schedule is daytime with no nights or weekends. Cases span Women's Health/OB, General Surgery (Robotic), Urology, GI, ENT, and more, with opportunities for collaboration among surgeons and anesthesiologists.

Qualifications

• Must hold RN license and CRNA certification.
• Experience in perioperative anesthesia care preferred.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-based environment.

Responsibilities

• Administer anesthesia and pre-/peri-anesthetic care.
• Monitor patient responses and communicate with supervising physician.
• Assist with teaching and mentoring CRNAs and SRNAs as needed.

Position: Casual Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA), Competitive Hourly Rates.

Schedule: 6:30a-3p or 6:30a-5p as needed for staffing support. No nights, weekends, holidays, or beeper call.

Cases include Women's Health/ OB, General Surgery (Robotic), Urology, GI, ENT, Neuro Spine, Ortho, GI, Cardiology to include Cath Lab and Diagnostic Procedures.

Purpose

The CRNA provides anesthetic care for all patients in cooperation with the supervising physician, following Department of Anesthesiology standards and hospital policies. They administer anesthesia, monitor patients' reactions to sedatives and anesthetic agents, and inform the anesthesiologist of any adverse conditions that may threaten patient safety.

Responsibilities

• Administer anesthesia and related care, including pre-anesthetic preparation, induction, maintenance, emergence, post-anesthesia care, and peri-anesthesia support.
• Assumes responsibility and is accountable for controlled substances according to department and hospital policy and State and federal guidelines
• Assists with the teaching and evaluation of newly hired CRNAs, GRNAs, and SRNAs.
• Performs according to established policies, procedures, and regulatory standards. Review appropriate documentation for informed consent and identify appropriate surgical site with operating room staff and surgeon in accordance with departmental and regulatory compliance standards
• Participate in the Quality Improvement (QI) process through documentation, incident reporting, evaluation, education, and implementation.
