Job summary

Virginia Mason Franciscan Health is seeking a Per Diem CRNA to join our respected CRNA team. You will provide safe anesthetic experiences for assigned patients under the guidance of the attending surgeon, in collaboration with OR staff across partner facilities.

Responsibilities include conducting comprehensive patient evaluations, managing anesthesia supplies, staying current with best practices, and contributing to efficient surgical operations across St. Clare Hospital, St.

Qualifications

• Must hold Washington State RN license and APRN license.
• Certified as a CRNA with NBCRNA and eligible for DEA.
• Demonstrated knowledge of current anesthesia practices and procedures.

Job Summary And Responsibilities

As a Per Diem CRNA (Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist), you will join our well‑respected Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) team. You will provide a safe anesthetic experience for assigned patients under the guidance of the attending surgeon.

Every day, you will be responsible for meeting established surgical standards and managing anesthesia supplies and equipment in the Operating Room. You will also promote teamwork with Operating Room personnel, physicians, and other departments.

To be successful in your role, you will meticulously provide safe general and regional anesthetic experiences for assigned patients, working under the guidance of the attending surgeon. You will demonstrate exceptional expertise in anesthesia administration and management, ensure rigorous adherence to Surgical Standards and Recommended Practices, and proactively foster teamwork within the Operating Room and across departments to achieve optimal patient outcomes and efficient surgical operations.

• Able to work a variable schedule covering the OR services at St. Clare Hospital, St. Anthony Hospital, Gig Harbor Day Surgery, and Franciscan Digestive Care Associates - Endoscopy.
• Interested in doing cases that will include General Surgery, Orthopedics, Robotic surgery, Podiatry, Urology, Gynecology, Endoscopy, and ENT.
• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of new patients.
• Collaborate with other healthcare providers to ensure a coordinated approach to care.
• Stay current with research and best practices in Anesthesiology to provide evidence‑based care.

Job Requirements

• Current Washington State Registered Nurse License and Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner License.
• Current Certification as a CRNA through the National Board of Certification & Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists (NBCRNA).
• Ability to obtain a DEA with full prescriptive authority needed for specific practice.
• Strong knowledge of current anesthesia practices and procedures.
• Aptitude for detail and strong organizational skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to respond appropriately in stressful or emergent situations.

You will work at St. Clare Hospital, St. Anthony Hospital, Gig Harbor Day Surgery, and Franciscan Digestive Care Associates - Endoscopy.

Pay Range

$160.00 - $160.00 /hour
