Scion Staffing has been engaged to conduct a search for a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) for a well-established outpatient surgical practice in Columbia, South Carolina. This is a full-time, onsite opportunity offering a weekday schedule and a strong emphasis on patient-centered care.

The CRNA will conduct pre-anesthesia assessments, administer anesthesia for outpatient procedures, and collaborate with a physician-led team to ensure safe, high-quality outcomes.

Qualifications

• Current South Carolina APRN licensure and NBCRNA certification.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Experience providing anesthesia services in an ambulatory surgery center or outpatient environment.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with a patient-centered team.

Responsibilities

• Conduct pre-anesthesia assessments and obtain informed consent.
• Administer anesthesia for outpatient procedures including MAC, sedation, and regional techniques.
• Monitor patient status and airway management with strong patient safety focus.
• Provide postoperative evaluations and complete EMR documentation.
• Collaborate with physicians and perioperative staff to ensure efficient flow and excellent patient experience.
• Maintain compliance with regulatory requirements and anesthesia guidelines.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Conduct comprehensive pre-anesthesia assessments, obtain informed consent, and develop individualized anesthesia care plans.
• Administer and manage anesthesia for outpatient surgical procedures, including monitored anesthesia care (MAC), sedation, and regional anesthesia techniques.
• Continuously monitor patient status, airway management, and physiological responses while ensuring the highest standards of patient safety.
• Provide postoperative evaluations, complete accurate EMR documentation, and communicate effectively with recovery and surgical teams.
• Collaborate closely with physicians and perioperative staff to promote efficient surgical flow and an exceptional patient experience.
• Maintain compliance with all applicable regulatory requirements, safety standards, and professional anesthesia practice guidelines.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Current South Carolina APRN licensure and active NBCRNA certification.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Experience providing anesthesia services in an ambulatory surgery center or similar outpatient surgical environment is preferred.
• Strong clinical judgment with the ability to work independently while fostering a collaborative, patient-centered approach.
• Proficiency with electronic medical records and a commitment to delivering safe, high-quality anesthesia care.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

• This position offers an annual salary of $230,000–$250,000, depending on experience, along with a comprehensive benefits package.
