Job summary

VCA Northwest Veterinary Specialists in Clackamas, Oregon, is seeking a board-certified or residency-trained Criticalist to join a 24-hour emergency/specialty hospital. The role offers both full- and part-time schedules within a facility featuring advanced imaging, on-site blood bank, and comprehensive veterinary services.

As part of VCA, you will join a network of specialists focused on world-class medicine, teaching, and collaboration.

Qualifications

  • DVM degree from an accredited university.
  • Current licensure to practice in the United States.
  • Board-certified or residency-trained in veterinary critical care.
  • Commitment to the highest standard of medicine and ethics.

Responsibilities

  • Provide critical care expertise for a multi-disciplinary emergency/specialty hospital.
  • Collaborate with internal medicine, surgery, neurology and other specialties.
  • Mentor and teach associates and support staff to maintain world-class care.
  • Contribute to clinical studies and ongoing professional development.

24-hour emergency/specialty hospital

Our specialties include Internal Medicine, Surgery, Neurology, Radiology, Anesthesiology, Ophthalmology, Medical Oncology, Surgical Oncology, and Radiation Oncology.

27,000 square foot facility with 20 exam rooms, 5 surgical suites, CT, MRI, C-Arm, on-site blood bank, mechanical ventilation, telemetry, towers for all types of scoping, and formulation of parenteral nutrition.

Experienced team with a lot of longevity.

Qualifications
  • A Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree, from an accredited university or equivalent
  • Licensure in good standing to practice in (state), or the ability to obtain
  • A commitment to practicing the highest standard of medicine and upholding the veterinary code of ethics.
