Job summary

CBEM is seeking a Critical Intervention Specialist in Covina, CA to provide crisis support and develop stabilization plans. The role reports to the Program Director and requires a Master's degree in related fields with at least one year of experience with challenging behaviors.

The position offers full-time exempt employment with hybrid work opportunities and a comprehensive benefits package. Salary is $72,510.98 plus quarterly bonuses.

Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in MFT, MSW, Counseling, Clinical Psychology, Educational Psychology, or ABA.
  • One year of experience working with persons with challenging behaviors.
  • California Driver's license in good standing and active insurance.

Responsibilities

  • Provide crisis support (preventive, acute, or chronic).
  • Develop Stabilization Plan and Case Review.
  • Consult with a Psychiatrist, BCBA, and Psychologist.
  • Participate in hotline rotation to address acute crisis calls.
  • Participate in clinical trainings and interdisciplinary meetings.

Position: Critical Intervention Specialist

Location: Covina, CA (and surrounding cities: Covina, El Monte, West Covina, Glendora, San Dimas, Diamond Bar)

Reports to: Program Director

Employment Status: Full-time, Exempt

Required Education: Master's Degree in Marriage & Family Therapy (MFT), Social Work (MSW), Counseling (Clinical, School, or Guidance), Clinical Psychology, Educational Psychology, or Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). One year of experience working with persons with challenging behaviors is required.

Salary: $72,510.98 + opportunities for quarterly bonuses

Who You Are
  • Must hold a Master's Degree in Marriage & Family Therapy (MFT), Social Work (MSW), Counseling (Clinical, School, or Guidance), Clinical Psychology, Educational Psychology, or Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA).
  • Experience in the mental health or applied behavior analysis field required.
  • Experience supporting individuals with severe mental illness and/or developmental disabilities preferred.
  • Must have a California Driver's license in good standing and insurance.
The Job
  • Provide support to individuals in crisis; preventative, acute, or chronic crisis management.
  • Develop a Stabilization Plan and Case Review.
  • Consult with a Psychiatrist, BCBA, and Psychologist.
  • Participate in a hotline rotation to address acute crisis calls.
  • Participate in clinical trainings
  • Participate and/or facilitate Interdisciplinary planning meetings.
