Job summary

Accenture Federal Services seeks a Critical Infrastructure Analyst to assess risk across OT/ICS environments, evaluating devices from PLC/SCADA to enterprise systems. You’ll model interdependencies and mission impact for energy, water, nuclear, and other critical sectors.

The role demands experience with cyber threats, resilience frameworks, and segmentation strategies, and involves producing analytic products for federal partners and resilience assessments.

Qualifications

  • 3 years of cyber experience.
  • Experience in critical infrastructure resilience, risk frameworks, and IC S/OT security principles.
  • Ability to evaluate OT assets, industrial processes, and security controls.
  • Experience with cyber threat actors targeting critical infrastructure and their TTPs.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct infrastructure risk assessments, including cyber‑physical vulnerability identification, sector dependencies, and cascading impact modeling.
  • Evaluate OT environments using IEC 62443, NIST SP 800 82, and other federal resilience standards.
  • Perform OT asset discovery, build baseline reports, and identify risk‑relevant deviations in industrial systems.
  • Assess industrial processes across water/wastewater, nuclear operations, cogeneration plants, data centers, CCHP systems, and utility plant operations.
  • Analyze threats involving state‑sponsored actors, cyber TTPs, and exploitation of industrial protocols.
  • Develop mitigation plans, remediation roadmaps, and security control recommendations for critical infrastructure operators.
  • Review and advise on segmentation strategies, including Purdue Model architectures, DMZ implementations, and OT network zoning.
  • Use tools to assess vulnerabilities, visibility gaps, and network behavior across OT ecosystems.
  • Support federal partners—including emergency management, state/local agencies, and sector‑specific oversight bodies—by producing analytic products and resilience assessments.

Position Overview

This role focuses on analytic rigor and cyber‑physical expertise to help clients strengthen resilience, reduce risk, and understand cross‑sector dependencies.


You are

A Critical Infrastructure Analyst experienced in analyzing risk across OT environments and critical infrastructure sectors such as energy, water, nuclear, transportation, and high‑availability facilities. You can evaluate systems down to PLC/SCADA layers and understand interdependencies and mission impact.


Roles and Responsibilities


  • Conduct infrastructure risk assessments, including cyber‑physical vulnerability identification, sector dependencies, and cascading impact modeling.

  • GIAC GRID certification or vendor certifications such as Dragos, Nozomi, Claroty, etc.


Eligibility Requirements

U.S. citizenship required.


Compensation

Base pay range varies by location: $135,200—$278,500 USD for the states of California, Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, Vermont, Virginia, Washington, and the District of Columbia, and the city of Cleveland.
