Job summary

Meta is seeking a Critical Facility Engineer to join our Data Center Facility Operations team. The role covers hands-on operation and maintenance of electrical, HVAC, mechanical, and controls systems to keep data centers running safely around the clock.

Ideal candidates will have 5+ years in relevant maintenance, relevant degrees, and familiarity with CMMS/EAM systems, blueprints, and life-safety controls. State licensure or certifications are a plus.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in electrical, HVAC, mechanical, controls, or related maintenance field.
• Associate's degree in engineering plus 3+ years experience or Bachelor's degree in related field plus 1+ years experience.
• Ability to interpret blueprints/CAD drawings.
• Experience in a data center or other Critical Environment.
• Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and life safety monitoring and control systems.
• Trade Certification or state licensure in Electrical or Mechanical (HVAC).
• Knowledge of EAM/CMMS systems.
• Professional affiliations (7x24 Exchange, IFMA, Data Center Pulse, etc.)

Meta is seeking a Critical Facility Engineer to join our Data Center Facility Operations team. Our data centers form the backbone of Meta's global infrastructure, supporting the systems and services that connect billions of people worldwide. In this role, you will be responsible for the hands‑on operation and maintenance of critical mechanical, electrical, and controls systems that keep our data centers running safely and reliably around the clock.

• 5+ years experience in electrical, HVAC, mechanical, controls, or other technical maintenance fieldAssociate's degree in engineering plus 3+ years experience orBachelor's degree in related field plus 1+ years experience in electrical, HVAC, mechanical, or controls will be considered in lieu of 5+ years experience
• Use hands and fingers

• Experience interpreting blueprints/CAD drawings
• Experience adhering to and implementing responsible, ethical AI practices (e.g., risk assessment, bias mitigation, quality and accuracy reviews)
• Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and life safety monitoring and control systems typically used in critical environments
• 3+ years of experience in a data center or other Critical Environment (pharma, clean room, medical, power production, etc.)
• Trade Certification or state licensure in Electrical or Mechanical (HVAC)
• Knowledge of EAM/CMMS systems
