Job summary

ABM is seeking a dedicated Facility Technician to oversee mechanical equipment within a data center in South Bend, Indiana. You will perform planned preventative maintenance, handle daily corrective work, and respond to emergencies to keep mission-critical servers and facilities operating with maximum reliability.

This role makes you the singular focal point for all facility operations on site, with exposure to advanced HVAC systems and critical infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Maintenance experience in data centers or mission-critical facilities.
• Familiarity with HVAC and mechanical subsystems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform planned preventative maintenance on data center mechanical equipment.
• Respond to daily corrective tasks and emergencies to maintain uptime.

Job description

Responsible for ensuring that all mechanical equipment within the data center is operating at peak efficiency. This involves both planned preventative maintenance of equipment, daily corrective work, and emergency response to emergent issues. They are expected to be a singular focal point for all facility operations within a given data center and to support operated data centers. Data center equipment that supports mission-critical servers must maintain better than 99.999% uptime.
