Job summary

Aligned Data Centers in Hillsboro, Oregon is seeking a Critical Facilities Maintenance Technician to support maintenance of mechanical and electrical systems within our data center campus. The role involves hands-on work with HVAC, plumbing, generators, fire detection and life safety systems, and daily use of a computer-based work-order system.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED with 2-5 years of relevant experience and a willingness to work 40 hours plus overtime.

• Working knowledge of electrical and/or mechanical critical facilities systems a plus.
• Able to work 40 hours plus occasional overtime.
• Computer skills required: MS Office

Responsibilities

• Assist with maintenance of multiple mechanical areas including HVAC components, plumbing, generators, fire detection and life safety systems.
• Maintain and monitor work-order tickets for preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance.
• Inspect buildings, lighting, grounds, and equipment for safety and upkeep, identify hazards and repairs.
• Perform minor electrical troubleshooting and repairs; replace bulbs, ballasts, and fuses as needed.
• Service plumbing fixtures; clear clogs and unclog drains.
• Operate various machinery and tools (saws, drills, etc.).
• Monitor building conditions and tour property during shifts.
• Maintain inventory of tools and supplies; recommend purchases.
• Assist with moving and storage of supplies and equipment.
• Possible overtime and weekend shifts may be required.

Under the direction of the Facility Manager, the Critical Facilities Maintenance Technician requires hands‑on experience in general facility maintenance and troubleshooting techniques. Work may include general building repairs, patching/painting of various surfaces, as well the potential to assist with installation, repair, and maintenance of critical and non‑critical mechanical and/or electrical machinery located in the interior and exterior of the building. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (to Include, But Not Limited To)

• Under supervision, assist with maintenance of multiple mechanical areas including components within the HVAC system, plumbing installation/maintenance, generator operations, fire detection and suppression, life safety, temperature control systems, building management systems, and digital systems (including fire alarm, duress, card access, CCTV).
• Maintain and monitor electronic work-order ticketing system(s) to perform and track all preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance within the Data Center campus.
• Inspect buildings, lighting systems, grounds, and equipment to ensure safe, well‑maintained conditions, and identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair.
• May perform minor electrical troubleshooting and repairs; replace light bulbs, ballasts and fuses (depending on experience).
• Identify and perform basic service and repair on plumbing fixtures; open clogged lines and drains.
• Operate a variety of machinery, equipment and tools including saws, router, drills, sanders, planers, drill presses and various hand tools.
• Monitor building conditions and tour property periodically during scheduled shift.
• Maintain inventory of tools, supplies, and equipment; recommend tools, supplies, and equipment for purchase.
• Assist with moving, loading, unloading and storage of supplies as well as furniture and equipment.
• Adjustment of hours (including occasional overtime) and/or scheduled days (including occasional weekend work) may be required.

Hourly Pay Range: $35.00 - $45.00/hr
