Job summary

ABM Industries is seeking a Critical Facility Technician Journeyman - HVAC to support mission-critical, data center, and commercial mechanical operations across the Metro Atlanta market. This role performs preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, inspections, documentation, and customer-facing HVAC support while maintaining safety, quality, and uptime standards.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of commercial, industrial, or mission-critical HVAC experience.
• Journeyman-level HVAC skills with hands-on troubleshooting and repair.
• Experience with RTUs, AHUs, split systems, heat pumps, VAVs, and related controls.
• EPA 608 Universal Certification.
• Ability to read wiring diagrams, manuals, and PM procedures.
• Experience using CMMS or service/work order systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on commercial and mission-critical HVAC systems.
• Service RTUs, AHUs, CRAC/CRAH units, split systems, heat pumps, and related equipment.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, airflow, refrigerant, and controls issues and advise corrective actions.
• Use BAS/BMS to monitor status, troubleshoot, verify alarms, and ensure proper operation.
• Follow site procedures, LOTO, SOPs, and change-control practices to protect uptime.
• Complete work orders, PM documentation, and maintenance records accurately and on time.
• Coordinate with vendors, dispatch, and site teams to complete PMs and repairs.
• Travel to customer sites across the Metro Atlanta area as required.
