Job summary

Arkansas Children’s Hospital transports critically ill or injured neonates and children, rotating between Little Rock and Jonesboro. The Transport RN provides comprehensive nursing care during transport, including assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation, under physician direction.

The role involves stabilization and care during transport to and from ICU/ED settings, with required and recommended nursing education and multiple certifications supporting safe patient transfer.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree in Nursing is required; Bachelor's is recommended.
• Minimum 3 years of nursing experience.
• Active RN license in Arkansas or compact state; must obtain CNPT within 24 months.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to neonates and children during transport.
• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care according to protocols.
• Stabilize patients during transport under designated AC physicians.
• Collaborate with healthcare team to ensure patient safety during transfer.
