Job description

This position involves providing comprehensive pediatric and neonatal transport services as part of a critical care team. The role includes direct patient care activities such as assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation within nursing standards. The nurse promotes patient and family-centered care, educates families on illness management, and collaborates with the healthcare team to develop and communicate individualized care plans. Critical skills in assessing physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs are essential, along with ensuring safety and regulatory compliance. The position requires working in a safety-sensitive environment with alertness and safety as priorities.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality, family-centered care in a healing environment.
• Educate patients and families on post-treatment care and medication management.
• Participate in safety, quality, and compliance activities, along with ongoing professional development.
• Develop, implement, and document personalized care plans with multidisciplinary team input.
• Assess patient needs holistically, respecting cultural, emotional, and spiritual factors.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Minimum Education: Nursing Diploma or Associate’s Degree, RN licensure.
• Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing with at least 2 years of pediatric or neonatal transport experience.
• Experience: 3 years in pediatric transport, ICU, ER, or CICU; 5 years preferred.
• Licenses & Certifications: Valid RN license.
