Job summary

Newberry County Memorial Hospital is seeking a Nursing Assistant to support daily patient care under the supervision of the Registered Nurse. You will assist with routine tasks and help ensure patient comfort in ICU and telemetry units.

The role requires completion of a Nursing Assistant program or nursing fundamentals, current BLS certification, and basic arrhythmia training. Strong communication and teamwork are essential to coordinate with patients, families, physicians and staff.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Nursing Assistant program or a nursing student who completed fundamentals of nursing.
• Current BLS certification.
• Successful completion of Basic Arrhythmia Course.

Requirements

• Education: Graduate of a Nursing Assistant program, or a nursing student who has successfully completed fundamentals of nursing.
• Experience: Clinical experience in an acute nursing environment preferred. Interpersonal skills used to effectively communicate, ability to apply problem solving, ability to cope with high stress situations when dealing with patients, families, physicians, and other staff. Current BLS certification. Successful completion of Basic Arrythmia Course.
