Job summary

Valley Health in Front Royal, VA, seeks an experienced RN II to provide comprehensive nursing care within the Critical Care Step Down department. You will perform the full nursing process, participate in quality initiatives, and support leadership responsibilities as assigned.

Mandatory RN licensure (VA/WV eligible), BLS certification, and 1872 hours of RN experience are required; BSN is preferred. The role offers competitive pay and benefits within a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• Education: RN Diploma/ASN/ADN required; BSN preferred.
• License: RN license valid in Virginia/West Virginia or eligible.
• Experience: 1872 full/part-time hours for advancement (936 with BSN).
• Certification: BLS (AHA Healthcare Provider) required; other certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform and document the nursing process: assessment, diagnosis, outcomes, planning, evaluation, and time management.
• Direct, coordinate, and implement patient teaching and quality/safety initiatives.
• Care for the population assigned and participate in PI activities and unit initiatives.
• Serve as Charge Nurse when assigned and communicate with the Director/Designee.
