CHI St. Vincent Infirmary in Little Rock, AR is seeking a critical care nurse to monitor patients who are critically ill after extensive injury, surgery, or life-threatening disease. The role requires AR RN licensure and acute care experience, with ACLS within 90 days and BLS/CPR at hire.

Qualifications

• Unencumbered RN license in Arkansas.
• 12 months acute care experience required (residency for new grads).
• ACLS within 90 days preferred; BLS/CPR required at hire.

Responsibilities

• Assesses, plans, and implements nursing care while ensuring patient comfort.
• Anticipates, identifies, and responds to informational and emotional needs of patients and families.
• Guides and directs healthcare personnel in caring for patients (e.g., Patient Care Technicians).
• Maintains knowledge of equipment setup, maintenance, and use (IV pumps, monitoring equipment, drainage devices).
• Initiates emergency support measures (CPR, protective measures during emergencies).
• Assists with patient care duties (drainage devices, ambulating, hygiene).
