Job summary

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse in New York state (RN) licensure.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing from an accredited program.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Fluent written and spoken English.

Responsibilities

• Apply nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, evaluation) to patient care.
• Coordinate with providers and interdisciplinary team to create and modify the care plan.
• Document assessments, interventions and learning plans in the medical record.
• Educate patients and families about health status and care plans.
• Support unit throughput and quality indicators per hospital standards.
• Comply with NYS Nurse Practice Act and regulatory requirements.
