Job summary

The MetroHealth System seeks a Registered Nurse for the Critical Care Step Down Unit (7 West) at MetroHealth Medical Center in Cleveland, OH. The unit features 14 beds with telemetry monitoring, central lines, and advanced respiratory support. Shifts are 7a–7p and 7p–7a with rotating weekends and holidays.

Required Ohio RN licensure, BLS; ACLS within 6 months of hire. PRN demands 1 year of RN experience; BSN preferred. Benefits include tuition reimbursement and OPERS retirement.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program; Ohio RN licensure.
• Current BLS certification; CPR credentials per policy.
• ACLS certification current or to be obtained within 6 months of hire.
• PRN requires 1 year of RN experience in a relevant setting.
• Certifications must be obtained by hire as required.

Responsibilities

• Provide care on Critical Care Step Down Unit, 7 West, 14 beds.
• Interpret EKGs and monitor telemetry; manage central lines.
• Administer respiratory support: Bi-PAP, high flow, vent care.
• Assist with bedside procedures (endoscopies, bronchoscopies).
• Demonstrate critical thinking, delegation, and time management.
