Job summary

Los Angeles Community Hospitals is seeking a Critical Care Registered Nurse with expertise in hemodynamic monitoring and critical care procedures. The role emphasizes collaboration with interdisciplinary teams, mentoring, and ensuring safe, evidence-based patient care across shifts.

Requirements include California RN licensure, graduation from an accredited nursing program, BLS and ACLS, strong English communication, and a minimum of 1 year in critical care or completion of a 6-week CCU

Qualifications

• Active, current RN licensure in California.
• Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing.
• AHA Basic Life Support certification.
• Fluent English reading/writing and effective communication.
• Ability to work variable shifts including evenings, nights, weekends and holidays.
• Ability to adapt in a changing environment.
• ACLS certification.
• At least 1 year of critical care nursing experience or completion of a 6-week critical care training.

Responsibilities

• Provides professional nursing care for acute or complex critically ill patients with hemodynamic monitoring and equipment.
• Collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to plan and implement care; reevaluates outcomes and discharge readiness.
• Acts as a mentor to new graduates and support staff; ensures HIPAA compliance and infection control.
• Leads care coordination and communication with patients, families, physicians, and staff.
