Qualifications

• Graduate of a Board of Nursing approved nursing education program.
• Active RN license with privileges to practice in the applicable state.
• 1 year of clinical nursing experience is typically required.
• BSN preferred; continuing education and certifications encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Engages in governance, quality initiatives, and evidence-based care improvements.
• Utilizes the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care.
• Monitors patient conditions and adjusts care plans with the team.
• Promotes a culture of safety and effective communication.
• May administer medications and therapies per protocols.
• Maintains accurate, timely EHR documentation.
• May float to other units as needed within the service area.
• Demonstrates growth and development across the lifespan in care.
• Adheres to ANA Code of Ethics and ethical decision-making.
• Delegates appropriately to RNs, LPNs, and UAP.
