Job summary

CHRISTUS Spohn Hospital Corpus Christi - Shoreline seeks a Registered Respiratory Therapist to provide pulmonary care for a wide patient mix, under physician supervision. Responsible for assessments, respiratory care plans, and diverse therapies in a busy acute-care setting.

Responsibilities include airway management, ventilator support, aerosol therapy, oxygen delivery, and diagnostics. Requires NBRC RRT, BLS, ACLS, and 1–3 years of experience; full-time shifts available.

Qualifications

• See licensure and/or certification requirements
• 1–3 years of experience preferred
• ACLS certification required
• BLS certification required
• RRT NBRC certification required

Responsibilities

• Meets expectations of the OneCHRISTUS Competencies.
• Emergency response (Code Blue/White)
• Airway management including nasotracheal & endotracheal suctioning
• Delivery of aerosolized drugs
• Ventilator management and operation
• Oral hygiene and oral care
• Airway device management (BiPAP/CPAP)
• Oxygen delivery devices and monitoring
• Chest film analysis
• Bloodgas collection and analysis
• ECG analysis
• Documentation accuracy and completeness
• Equipment stocking and cleaning
• Participate in CAP and JC surveys
• Potential to serve as Shift Leader or Team Leader
• Advanced practice in gas management, PFTs, bronchoscopy support, hemodynamic monitoring
