The role emphasizes rapid assessment, critical thinking, and calm execution in routine and emergent situations, with ongoing credentialing required (CPR within 14 days, ACLS/NRP within 90 days).

Qualifications

• Associates of Science in Cardiopulmonary Services or equivalent respiratory therapy program.
• Respiratory Care Practitioner license (KY).
• CPR within 14 days of hire; ACLS within 90 days; NRP within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Plans and administers non-medicated aerosol and humidity therapy.
• Plans and administers oxygen therapy and COPD care program.
• Plans and administers aerosolized medications and specialty gas therapy.
• Performs airway management and chest physiotherapy; bronchal hygiene.
• Aides in CPR during resuscitation and rapid response calls; ensures equipment is clean and ready.
