Job summary

Licking Memorial Health Systems is seeking a clinically competent registered nurse to deliver patient care through the nursing process in our health system, including assessment, planning, intervention and evaluation. Prescribes, delegates and coordinates the nursing care provided to patients throughout the health system.

The role includes administering medications, supervising staff, assisting physicians in procedures, responding to crises, and ensuring timely physician orders are followed,

Qualifications

• Current R.N. licensure in Ohio (must be maintained).
• Current CPR card and maintain.
• Obtain/maintain ECG rhythm recognition.
• Obtain ACLS within six months and maintain.
• Maintain knowledge of new technology and equipment.
• Ability to work independently.
• LMH is accredited by DNV and TJC, and may require specific annual education related to specialty certifications and standards.

Responsibilities

• Acquire and maintain current knowledge of equipment and procedures in care of critical patients.
• Safely and accurately administer medications within RN scope.
• Provide direction and supervision to LPNs and other staff.
• Assist physician with invasive/non-invasive procedures on the unit.
• Perform crisis intervention.
• Monitor and ensure timely completion of physician orders.
• Administer and monitor Critical Care drugs safely/accurately.
• Perform defibrillation, cardioversion, and external pacing safely.
• Perform other duties as requested.
