Job summary

NYC Health + Hospitals/Bellevue seeks a professional nurse to provide skilled, patient-centered care on an assigned unit under supervision. You will diagnose and treat health problems using established nursing methods and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team.

Applicants must hold a New York State RN license and current BLS certification. Post-licensure acute care experience is preferred, with a strong emphasis on safety, documentation and patient education.

Qualifications

• Valid New York State RN license and current registration.
• Holds or obtains BLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA).
• Post-licensure acute care experience preferred.
• Ability to provide patient-centered nursing care and to work with an interdisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Provides professional nursing care to patients/clients within an assigned unit.
• Diagnoses and treats responses to health problems using nursing methods and techniques.
• Maintains nursing care plans and progress notes for continuity of care.
• Interprets and reports patient responses to the health team.
• Participates with interdisciplinary teams to plan comprehensive patient care.
• Provides teaching and guidance to nursing personnel.
