Job summary

Sound Physicians invites an intensivist to join the team at Bon Secours Southside Medical Center in Petersburg, Virginia. You will care for the sickest patients in a 28-bed ICU, lead daily rounds, and collaborate with Critical Care physicians and APPs.

The schedule features 12-hour day shifts with rotating back-up call to a nocturnist APP and a modified block schedule; no night shifts. Eligible candidates must be board-certified/eligible in critical care and authorized to work in the United

Qualifications

• Board-certified or board-eligible in critical care medicine.
• Fellowship in critical care medicine completed in the United States.
• Authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Care for patients in the 28-bed ICU (medical/surgical/cardiac); lead daily multi-disciplinary rounds.
• Collaborate with a board-certified Critical Care team and experienced Critical Care APPs.
• Work in EPIC with access to internal informatics platform.

Education

• Work alongside an experienced team of board-certified Critical Care physicians and experienced Critical Care APPs to care for the sickest patients

Qualifications:

• Board-certified/eligible in critical care medicine
• Successful completion of a critical care medicine fellowship in the United States
• Authorized to work in the United States

Scheduling:

• 12-hour day shifts with rotating back-up call to experienced nocturnist APP
• Average of 15 shifts per month as part of the intensivist team using a modified block schedule
• No nights

Key Responsibilities:

• Your focus will be on patients in the 28-bed ICU (medical/surgical/cardiac)
• You will lead daily multi-disciplinary rounds as part of the larger Critical Care team
• We work in EPIC, with access to our own internal informatics platform
