Job summary

LifeCare Ambulance seeks a Critical Care Paramedic to provide advanced inter-facility transport with ICU-level care. You will work with critical care nurses and physicians to execute patient plans.

You will manage ventilators and airway devices, monitor cardiac status, and support infusion therapies while keeping transports and equipment ready for rapid response.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Completion of an accredited Paramedic program mandatory.
• Active Tennessee Paramedic license.
• Critical Care Paramedic (CCP) certification, required by Tennessee regulations.
• Valid driver’s license and completion of an EVOC course may be required.
• Current certifications in ACLS, PALS, BLS, PHTLS, ITLS and NRP.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive critical care during patient transport, including ventilator management, advanced airway maintenance, IV medication administration, infusion therapies, and cardiac monitoring.
• Use and management of cardiac monitors, ventilators, and IV pumps.
• Collaborate with critical care nurses and online medical control physicians to develop and execute patient care plans.
• Maintain unit readiness, including cleanliness and supply levels for critical care transports.
