Job summary

UTMB is seeking a qualified RN with Texas licensure and two years of clinical nursing experience to join our patient-care team. The role requires current BLS certification and the ability to provide competent, evidence-based care within a specialty unit.

The successful candidate will function as part of an interdisciplinary team, deliver culturally sensitive care, and demonstrate proficiency in nursing practices aligned with the Texas Nurse Practice Act and UTMB policies.

Qualifications

• RN license in Texas.
• Current BLS certification.
• Two years of clinical RN experience.
• Must possess and maintain a current license or permit to practice in Texas.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document daily patient care.
• Identify nursing diagnoses and develop individualized care plans.
• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders and UTMB policies.
• Perform routine technical procedures in the assigned specialty area.
• Provide patient/family instruction and health promotion based on learning needs.
